How To Speed Up Your Broadband Internet Connection - Make Broadband Really Fast Again

Broadband running slow? Your Internet is tricking along? This problem could be caused by a number of potential problems - but is almost always caused by a certain part of your computer called the "registry". This is a database which all Windows PCs use to store important options & settings, and is vital for the continued smooth operation of your system. If you are experiencing slow Internet speeds, you have to be able to repair any of the potential problems that Windows could have inside - which can be done by using the steps on this page.

Why Do Broadband Connections Run Slow?

There are a lot of potential reasons why broadband Internet connections will run slower, with everything from the Internet speed itself being slow to your computer to your system having software that doesn't work correctly. The problem that many people have is that they simply don't know what can be causing their Internet connections to run slower - preventing them from improving the speed again.

Here are some of the problems that can cause it to run slower:

  • Your computer is trying to use too many programs on the Internet
  • Your PC does not have sufficient Internet bandwidth (is sharing with the likes of network PCs)
  • Your computer is not able to read the settings & options that your computer needs to run

How To Make Your Broadband Run Faster

1) Stop any unnecessary programs from running - The first step is to stop any programs from running which you don't want / need on your PC. This can be done by clicking onto "Start" and then selecting "Control Panel", followed by "Add / Remove Programs". This will allow you to select the applications you don't want, and uninstall them from your system.

2) Make sure your network computers are working correctly - The next step is to make sure that you don't have any computers on your network which are taking up valuable Internet bandwidth. We've found that if a networked machine (I.E the likes of a games console or other PC) will be using up too much Internet bandwidth, your Internet connection will slow down as a result. To fix this, you should make sure that your networked PCs are not running too many Internet connections / programs

3) Clean Out The Registry Of Your PC - Finally, you need to be able to clean out any registry errors that you may have on your system. The registry is a central database which stores all the important settings & options for Windows inside, and is where the likes of your Internet favorites and connection settings are kept. If you're experiencing any problems on your system, it's likely caused by registry errors - meaning that if you want to fix these problems, you should clean out the registry database of your PC by downloading a registry cleaner onto your system & fixing it for good.
