How to Disable System Restore in Windows 7/Vista and XP

By using system restore, you’ll no longer need to worry if your computer goes wrong sometime later as it can help you to roll back your computer to a previous stable state. 1. Click Start, right click My Computer, click Properties.

2. A window will be prompted to you. Click on System Protection at the left.

4. Click on the Turn Off System Protection radio button, then click OK.
